The Reality
When an Orphan Turns 18
In nearly all orphan care systems, support ends at adulthood. Although it can feel cruel, it isn't — it's just the reality. But for young people who have only ever known one home, one community, one way of life, that moment can feel like a terrible cliff edge. They have only lived in large (30+) families, never by themselves.
Emotionally, it's hard enough to step away from that support system, but then there are the practical things they need to suddenly figure out:

⮞ How to build a life from scratch
⮞ How to find work
⮞ How they will pay for school
How much more difficult it would be to answer those questions if no one ever sat them down and said, "What do you want to be when you grow up?" Well, no one did.
That is not a small thing. That is everything.

We walk alongside young adults as they make the leap from orphanage life to independence, encouraging and supporting them with:

Personalized guidance and practical training to build confidence and real-world competence.

Food and transportation stipends plus housing assistance to keep them stable while they grow.

College and technical school tuition, internship placement, and professional certification support.
This gives them the space to focus on becoming who they were always meant to be.
And once they get there, they get to 'pay it forward' by helping their younger siblings.
REAL RESULTS
What One Year Can Do
In our very first year, more than 55 young adults from 6 orphan homes took the bold leap into the program we offered them. Most were nervous and even resistant, having never imagined a life beyond the orphanage walls.
Today they are enrolled in universities and technical schools, completing internships and getting hired. Their training certifications qualify them to work anywhere in the world.
The worried faces we started with? They are smiling now. Lives have been changed.
Best of all, they've taken their new-found confidence back to the orphanages and spread the good word that taking a leap brings results.
